The kitchen IS the ‘heart of the home. And, when we enter into it to
prepare ourselves food and nourishment, we are given the opportunity to
leave behind the mindset which says "cooking is just another appointment
with my pots and pans." We are invited instead, to experience food
preparation as an effort of the soul, -an effort in which our food
choices (and the manner in which we prepare them) helps us to cultivate a
more intimate and loving relationship with our personal ecology,
-including our bodies, minds, emotions and spirits, as well as our
planetary ecology- including nature, plants, animals, eco-systems and
the greater cosmos, of which we are an integral part.
